Rupa and Ravi’s Hindu wedding at Tewin Bury farm hotel

Rupa and Ravi’s wedding was my fourth trip to Tewin Bury farm in 2019 and even though I’m familiar with the settings, all four weddings I’ve shot there were different, and I’ve always managed to create some unique shots for my couples.

I was recommended to Rupa and Ravi through Rupa’s cousin Tulsi, whose wedding I photographed in 2018 and I was so grateful when Rupa booked me to capture her wedding. Having spoken to Rupa in the lead up, I knew this was going to be a great wedding and I was looking forward to being part of the celebrations.

The wedding day itself was jam packed day and we started with an intimate civil ceremony, followed by the Hindu Wedding which was beautifully conducted by Pandit Soham Achraya. The funniest moment (for me) was when Rupa was walking down the wedding aisle and Ravi yawning away behind the Antarpat, talk about great timing!

Even though it was raining most of the day, this didn’t stop anyone having fun and everyone was in great spirits. After the wedding ceremony, I remember Rupa and Ravi insisting that we continue with portraits in rain and it was totally worth it! We managed to get really creative in the evening after the sun had set so thanks guys for your patience.

In the evening, Contagious DJs took over and they always manage to host an incredible reception party, the dancefloor was packed throughout and everyone was in the mood to party hard! I loved it when the confetti canons went off with everyone around the couple, the energy in the room exploded at that moment - Hi-5s all around to the DJs!

One of my fav moments from the reception party was when Rupa danced with her Dada (Grandfather) after the first dance. Dada rocked the dancefloor with Rupa and I’m sure this will be a memory that the family will cherise for years to come.

Throughout the day, I loved capturing the emotions from everyone, from tears, to silly facial expressions, lots of smiles, those little interactions between everyone, the day was full of this and I’m so excited to share a selection of the photographs.

Rupa and Ravi, you guys make an amazing couple and I Thank you again for choosing me to capture your wedding day. I hope when you look back at the photographs, that they bring back the memories of your incredible celebrations.
