Where do I start with Malini and Rahul? SUCH an amazing warming couple from two incredible families.
I’ve known Rahul for a number of years from when I photographed his sister’s wedding a few years back and since then, we’ve spoken on many occasions, I’ve dined at the family restaurant (Regency’s) so I was thrilled when Rahul mentioned to me that he was going to propose to Malini and then soon after the wedding preps began.
I remember meeting Malini back in Jan 2019 at a wedding show and I could tell that her and Rahul are the perfect match, as I said above, an amazing warming person. The wedding was planned for August Bank Holiday weekend and I was so glad that I was available to capture their day. Before they booked, I did wonder why my diary was free for that weekend (As it’s usually a popular weekend), but I’m a firm believer that somethings are meant to be, and I’m So glad I was able to photograph Malini and Rahul’s wedding.
Over the next few months, we kept in touch quite a lot over whatsapp, spoke on the phone, had a great time on their pre wedding shoot and I photographed their sangeet party a few nights before and really got to know everyone. and then finally it was the big day, I was ready for the 30 degree heat, boy did I sweat!
Capturing genuine moments of emotion is what really drives me when I’m shooting a wedding, and Malini and Rahul’s wedding was full of them, lots of smiles, fun and a few tears too. The Hindu wedding was beautifully conducted by Vasudev Mehta which was enjoyed by all family and friends, then in the evening, Amit from Divine Musiq took over and hosted an incredible party for everyone to enjoy, there were some killer moves on the dance floor too!
Before Malini and Rahul entered the reception party, we managed to catch the sun as it was setting, and I’m so glad we did as we managed to get some incredible portraits, thanks for your patience on the day guys! I remember it being really hot that evening and I was conscious that you guys didn’t sweat too much!
Malini and Rahul, you guys are great, and I feel so fortunate to have been part of your celebrations, I wish you all the best as Mr and Mrs Sharma, and I look forward to seeing you both soon.
I hope you enjoy the small selection of my fav moments from the wedding day.
