Back in August, I had the pleasure of photographing Darshna and Karan’s Civil ceremony, Hindu wedding and Reception party at the Manor of Groves and this was one of my favourite weddings this year.
Darshna and Karan are always happy and always smiling and that’s the way they are. They are totally into each other and I loved showing this in the moments captured. I loved photographing their big day as it evolved, from the moment I saw Darshna and Karan in the morning, they were calm, collected and of course, smiling! This was their mood all throughout the day right till the final dance.
Karan, by far had the Best groom’s entrance that I’ve ever seen, he and his family danced all the way down the wedding isle which was a first! It was totally Karan, anyone could see that. The Hindu wedding was beautifully conducted by Hemang Bhatt and it was a pleasure capturing the wedding ceremony and the moments inbetween.
Before the reception party began, I went to see Darsh and Karan to take some portraits in their evening outfits but the typical British weather meant that it was raining so we postponed the shoot until later on in the evening. I had something special in mind with gazebo that was lit up, I even told Karan and he’ll need to delay the first dance to get this shot I had in mind. Darshna and Karan had full faith in me and off we went, they braved the cold weather (Still smiling) and it was So worth the effort in the end, we walked away with some amazing portraits. Karan even said to that delaying the party was hard to digest, but after seeing the photographs, it was totally worth it!
Darshna, Karan, it’s been awesome getting to know you both and capturing your special day. I hope the photographs bring back every memory of your wedding day. All the best guys.
A massive Thank you to Meheer for helping me on this shoot, and as always, it’s a pleasure working alongside Lax Videography.
