Shazia and Kishan held their Hindu wedding and reception party at the stunning Frolye park back in June and what an incredible day it was. Coming from two different backgrounds, the Hindu wedding ceremony was their Third wedding ceremony within the week, and they ended the wedding week on a High!
I first spoke to Shazia and Kishan back in December 2021 (I think) and we met them in person earlier this year on their pre wedding shoot, but it felt like we’ve known each other a long time and I was excited to being part of their celebrations.
The week before the Hindu wedding, Shazia and Kishan had their civil wedding and it was great meeting their closest friends and family and capturing some beautiful moments. Shoutout to my niece Tiya for helping me on the day!
Back to the Hindu wedding, a stunning venue, gorgeous setup and lots of personalisation and your cloestest friends and family, the perfect setup for a wedding day. Kish arrived in style with closest friends and family and they were welcomed by Shazia’s side. After the dance off between both sides, it was time to start the Hindu wedding ceremony which was perfectly conducted by Ravi Shastri.
Shazia arrived in the mandap with a huge smile and I loved capturing the first look between her and Kishan, they were both gleaming! As the ceremony continued, there just smiles all around and you can clearly see that these two were made for each other.
There are so many key moments I like during a Hindu wedding, but I think the Kanyadhaan ceremony is one of my most favourite parts as it’s always full of emotion, it could be filled with tears or happiness (the latter within this wedding) and what I loved the most was seeing the connection/closeness between Shazia and her parents. For me, these personal moments are really important to capture throughout a wedding as the day is much more than just the ceremonies taking place and I know Shazia and Kishan (and their families) will appreciate this too.
The closeness between everyone on both sides is something I picked up on, even in the evening which you’ll see below.
Three wedding ceremonies later, it was time to celebrate and party hard. After a grand entrance, Kish got roasted by his best men and brother during the speeches…they also said nice things too! Shazia’s bridesmaids teased her too, but not as bad.
Just before the first dance, Kishan gave the final speech and it was full of emotion and one of the best I’ve heard, I felt it…it’s hard to describe what I felt, but I could tell it was fully from the heart and you could see (a feel) the emotion in the room
Following on from Kishan’s speech, it was time to dance the night away and what a party it was! The dancefloor was packed throughout and I loved capturing all of the crazy dance moves, even I was bopping away! Full credit to DJ Vish from Musical moments on an incredible music set.
Shazia, Kishan, you have both been amazing and I see you both more as friends than anything else. Thank you for letting me be part of your wedding journey and getting to know you both. It’s been an absolute honour capturing your wedding events, I look forward to sharing all of the photographs with you very soon, you guys are in for a treat!
See you soon and happy viewing
Much love, Sanj.
Big Shout out to Tejas for his assistance on the day.
