A few weeks back I showcased Anjalee and Suraj’s Hindu Wedding photographs and I also wanted to share their civil and reception party photographs which took place at Hilton London Tower Bridge and I’m really excited to show them to you!
I was originally planning to just showcase just the Hindu wedding but then realised that I would only be showing half of the fun, so included in this set are some of the moments captured from the Civil and Reception party which took place at Hilton London Tower Bridge.
I remember it took over 2 hours to get into London that afternoon, there was traffic everywhere and the Lord Mayors Show was also on, so diversions everywhere! Fortunately, I was there will in time before anything started so phew! Anjalee and Suraj looked stunning! I had a lot of fun photographing their individual portraits before the ceremony began, I even became their personal postie by delivering letters to each other! The civil was a small intimate ceremony with close friends and family and soon after it was completed, the reception party started and I had a surprise for the families…During the week before the reception party, I was teasing Anjalee with previews from the Hindu wedding and she told me that her mum was in tears of joy from looking at some of the photographs; little did anyone know that I was putting together a slideshow with some of the wedding day photographs that were then played back during the reception party, thanks Bik (Diamond Cut) for the awesome announcement before the pics went up! Everyone was speechless as each photograph came up, what a great surprise! Needless to say, the feedback was great!
After the slideshow was over, Suraj’s bhabhi said to me ‘I hate you Sanj! My mascara has run from looking at the pics!’ Not a bad compliment hey! The rest of the evening was brilliant, everyone was on top form and ready to party. The speeches went down great with lots of laughter and the best speech was from Suraj who actually sang his speech to Anjalee which was a total surprise to everyone!
Once the speeches were over, it was time to party the night away and what a fantastic end to the celebrations! Before I packed up and joined in with the partying, I asked Suraj to dive off the stage, which he gladly did, this is probably one of the best stage dive shots I’ve captured! The beers after the shoot were very welcomed!
Enjoy the moments guys.
Massive thanks to Meheer Shah for his help on the day.
