Puja and Sahil’s wedding took place earlier this year in her parent’s back garden which is in a small quiet town called Offham. I think around 600 guests attended so you could say, that this wedding was truly an Asian Invasion!
Sahil’s family and friends turned up with dhol players in the morning and the whole town knew they had arrived. Everyone danced down the streets and as soon as they arrived at Puja’s parents house, both families started to party away in the road, I’m sure there were a few drivers getting annoyed at this point (hahaha but that didn’t stop anyone enjoying themselves.
The marquee and décor looked stunning, it was the perfect setting for a beautiful Hindu Wedding ceremony, my mouth dropped when I entered. The Hindu wedding ceremony was conducted by Kamal Pandey who kept all 600 guest engaged though out. When Puja told me there’s a massive corn field behind her home, I knew we were going to have a field day during the portraits (excuse the pun!)
I have to say, this is probably one of the most emotional weddings I’ve captured, not just smiles, laughter and fun, but a lot of tears too, it was clear to see how close everyone is and it was a joy to show this in moments captured.
During the evening reception, Puja and Sahil hired Magic Singh who was amazing! The music was total different to the other Indian weddings I’ve photographed as they have a kick-ass band who rocked the night away with some classics, Definitely something unique #Rockon!
Puja and Sahil’s wedding was definitely a fav wedding from this year, I enjoyed photographing both families during the ceremonies and some great moments have been captured! I especially enjoyed photographing Puja’s Dada who was always smiling and it was hard not to take a great photograph of him 🙂
So for your viewing pleasure, introducing, Puja and Sahil’s wedding. I wish you all the very best for the future guys, you both rock!
